Style Week Jamaica 2K15
I think we can all agree that fashion is perhaps the most explicit revelation of the expression "life imitates art". I imagine that was model agency and event coordinators, Saint International, line of thinking when they chose to utilize the National Gallery as the backdrop for Night 2 of Style Week.
Art is and will always be my first love so upon learning about the venue I was absolutely excited! When greeted by a fully stocked bar of Sangster's Rum Cream at the entrance of the venue, I knew it would have been a good night *smirk*. While I am an island girl, I have to admit I'm not a big fan of rum - BUT Sangster's Rum Cream has really redefined my rum experience - especially now, offering three new flavors (Coffee, Rum and Raisin and Coconut). I am a classic kind of girl though so I'll take the original blend any day!
About the show though - some of Jamaica's most notable designers claimed the runway this year. I always enjoy the creativity behind the more playful and risque looks, but as I mentioned I am a sucker for classics. There is something absolutely refreshing about a designer's ability to redefine chic and give new life to the essence of sophistication. I found a few pieces from Courtney Washington, Max Brown and Kurt Campbell collection did just that.

Overall Night 2 was a success. My only regret for that night was not taking more photos in that gallery! |

Outfit Details: The dress code was formal but I decided to go with the more edgy side of formal. I am wearing a NastyGal long vest, fringed skirt from H&M, shoes from GoJane.com and a Liz Claiborne purse. My rhinestone choker was given to me by my mom years ago.
