Blushing Sequins

by - September 03, 2014

Happy September Everyone! The Summer season officially ends on September 22nd which means; Hello FALL. Hands down, fall is my absolute favourite season for fashion. Why? Generally speaking the weather doesn't get too frigid so the trends are centred around mostly light coats and cardigans with the introduction of more neutrals to dark hues. Since Jamaica is a tropical country we pretty much have Spring/Summer weather throughout the year, and so fall fashion is really the most action we can get where trends are concerned for the rest of the year without looking ridiculous- especially this year when fur and  knee-high leather boots completely consumed the runway for the Fall/Winter2015 (f/w15) collections. Sensibility would convey that fur + knee-high booties+ Jamaica's humidity is quite laughable.

Anyhow I thought I would do an outfit post on transitioning from summer to fall. Yes, nudes are the usual suspect; this year however Red, Orange and Coral/Pink hues are super trendy for f/w15 so you'll also want to be clad in these colours when saying ADIOS to the summer season.

For my outfit I went for monochrome blush and nudes. Everyone knows that sequins are next to black when it comes to this season, its like florals and pastels in Spring- really goes without saying. The taupe sequin jacket therefore makes for the perfect accent to herald the coming fashion season.

Jacket, sleeveless blush button down and studded blush shorts are all from Forever21.com; my shoes are from GoJane.com
